Miley Cyrus took time out on Halloween to remind everyone that she wasn't the first star ever to shock the crowd at the MTV Video Music Awards — by dressing like one of them.

As photographs on Instagram reveal, Miley dressed as Lil Kim for Halloween, sporting the same outfit the female rapper wore to the MTV VMAs in 1999.  You may recall, Kim wore a purple wig and purple jumpsuit that year that left her breast completely exposed, except for a pastie.  You may also recall that when Kim took the stage with legendary singer Diana Ross, Ross reached over and jiggled her exposed boob.

Miley posted a series of photos of herself in her costume, one of which showed her with her tongue sticking out. She captioned that one, "Miley doing Lil Kim doing Miley."  And Lil Kim, for one, approved of the whole concept.

The rap diva posted one of Miley's photos and tweeted, "Awwww. Look at my baby @mileycyrus tonight!!! Looking GORGEOUS!!! I wish I was there to squeeze your boob 🙂 🙂 Love U so much !!!! #mytwin."
