The Voice kicked off its fifth-season finale Monday night with a series of performances from its top three.

Team Adam Levine's Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin, and Team Christina Aguilera’s Jacquie Lee, sang one last time for the viewers' votes. One of them will be crowned the new Voice champion on Tuesday night.

Each artist was asked to reprise his or her blind audition; perform a duet with his or her coach; and belt out one final song.

The four coaches — Adam, Christina, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green — opened Monday night's telecast with a rendition of the Def Leppard hit "Pour Some Sugar On Me." They were joined by members of the British metal band.

Here's what followed:

Tessanne Chin, a former backup singer for Jimmy Cliff, performed the Pink tune "Try," which she first delivered during her blind audition. Adam remarked that every moment he's spent with her has been fun and educational, and he's motivated to become a better singer because of her. Cee Lo complimented her on her evolution as an artist in such a pressurized environment.

Will Champlin, whose dad, Bill Champlin, is a former member of Chicago, again tackled Gavin DeGraw's "Not Over You." Adam said Will works so hard and has incredible natural ability. He added that Will has overcome big hurdles on the show.

Sixteen-year-old Jacquie Lee reprised her blind audition performance of "Back to Black," by AmyWinehouse. Christina gushed that she gets such joy out of watching Jacquie perform. She then became a little emotional as she called Jacquie a "gem."

For round two, each artist collaborated with his or her coach. There were no critiques in this round.

Adam and Tessanne covered The Beatles' "Let It Be." Their version briefly transformed into a reggae track to suit the Jamaican artist's musical background.

Christina and Jacquie showed off their vocals on Christina's tune "We Remain," off The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack.

Adam and Will handled the Elton John classic "Tiny Dancer."

Tessanne began the final round of performances with Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing." After stating the sky's the limit with Tessanne, Adam declared that, in his mind, she's the winner of the competition.

Tessanne's teammate, Will, sang Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You." Adam said Will has already won, in a sense, because he's reached the finals. Blake felt Will was more reserved than usual, and it may prove to be a good thing with viewers.

Jacquie closed the show with her take on "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," from Dreamgirls. Christina again exclaimed that Jacquie is extremely talented for someone her age. Blake said Christina and Jacquie represent one of the best coach-artist pairings in series history.

In addition, the final three joined forces for a performance of The Jackson 5's "I'll Be There" that was more for fun than anything else.

A winner will be named Tuesday night on part two of the season finale. The two-hour show, featuring musical guests Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Ne-Yo, Paramore and OneRepublic, gets underway at 9 p.m. Eastern time on NBC.
