Justin Bieber’s South American trek seems to be causing problems for the singer no matter which country he visits.
TMZ.com reports Justin arrived in Argentina early Thursday morning and found himself being questioned by police a short time later when fans went crazy outside his hotel and tore down wooden walls erected for crowd control. It appears that Justin and his entourage had nothing to do with the vandalism, but that apparently isn’t the case for the singer in Brazil.
The BBC says Brazil’s civil police force issued a statement saying Justin has been charged with “defacing a building or urban monument by graffiti or other means.” Justin allegedly sprayed the side of a Rio de Janeiro hotel early Tuesday morning with the words "Beliebers 4 Life," drawings of faces and baseball caps and, ironically, the words "respect privacy."
Defacing a building in Brazil is punishable by up to a year in jail or a fine. Officials have described Justin’s graffiti as a “minor offense.”
