The top eight artists on NBC's The Voice returned to the stage Monday night for another round of performances. Coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green sat in their chairs to dispense their opinions.

The night began with an appearance by Robin Thicke, who performed his latest single, "Feel Good."

Here's what happened afterward:

James Wolpert chose Queen's "Somebody to Love" for himself. At the suggestion of his coach, Adam, he wore a tuxedo for the occasion. So did his backup singers, who donned Mad Men-type glasses like James. Adam declared that James could sing for Queen right now. Blake suggested it may have been James' best performance to date. Christina added that it was a lot of fun.

James' teammate, Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin, applied her vocals to the reggae-influenced No Doubttune "Underneath It All." Adam called it the perfect song choice for her. Christina said Tessanne was able to tap into her roots with the performance. Cee Lo stated that Tessanne represents the beauty of Jamaica.

Cee Lo's lone remaining contestant, teenager Caroline Pennell, tackled "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine. Cee Lo thoughtfully recited a message he composed for Caroline, in which he told her she's the only thing that matters to him at this moment, and that she's won over his heart. Adam said Caroline did the best thing she can possibly do at this point in the competition: expand her horizons as a singer.

Cole Vosbury of Team Blake performed Vince Gill's "I Still Believe In You." Blake said it was the first time that character came out of Cole on stage. Christina pointed out that both she and Blake felt tuned in and connected to Cole's music.

Team Christina's Matthew Schuler covered the Imagine Dragons song "It's Time." His coach said she wanted to help him emphasize the urgency he conveys and "give him this sort of Matthew army." Cee Lo complimented him on doing a "damn fine job."

Adam's final contestant of the night was Will Champlin, who belted out the Etta James classic "At Last." Adam raved that there's no challenge too big for Will, and he is so passionate. Christina thought it was a tremendous performance.

Blake assigned Ray Boudreaux "Gimme Some Lovin'" by The Spencer Davis Group. Blake declared that Ray has "swag," then compared him to "Addicted to Love" singer Robert Palmer. Christina teased Blake for using the word "swag."

Team Christina had Jacquie Lee, 16, reconnect with the blues musician inside of her by giving her The Jackson 5's "Who's Lovin' You." Christina said the choice allowed Jacquie to focus solely on her singing. Adam commended her for conveying the theme of heartbreak, despite her age. Cee Lo joked that it was as if Jacquie had "swallowed an old lady."

The artists also treated viewers to a couple of group performances. Cole, Ray, Tessanne and Will sangMatisyahu's "One Day," and Caroline, Jacquie, James and Matthew took on Ed Sheeran's "Lego House." You'll recall that Ed was a mentor for Christina's team earlier this season.

Two artists will be eliminated on Tuesday night's results show, airing on NBC at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
