Justin Bieber arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday, bringing Christmas cheer into the lives of the survivors of deadly Typhoon Haiyan, which killed an estimated 6,000 people in November.

According to the news agency AFP, Justin flew into Tacloban, right inside the main disaster zone, andserenaded kids at a local school.  A spokeswoman with UNICEF told AFP, "He sang 'Holy Night' for the children."

Justin is also working with the fundraising website Prizeo to help typhoon survivors.  Anyone who donates money to help will be entered into a drawing to win a chance to fly to L.A. from anywhere in the world and hang out with Justin in the recording studio next year.  The second-prize winner will get a pair of tickets to the premiere of Justin's movie, Believe. 

The Bieb has a goal of raising a million bucks for the cause, which will be jointly donated to UNICEF, Action Against Hunger, and the Philam Foundation, who are all working to provide food, shelter, medical care, clean water and safe sanitation, and to build schools in the ravaged areas. So far, over 600,000 dollars has been raised.

"Help and get involved. I saw the devastation first hand today. They need our help," Justin tweeted Tuesday.  He also wrote on Instagram, "most touching trip of my life."
