A day long celebration of healthy living, Summerfest teaches kids how to be more fit and active. The event is May 30th from 9am to 2 pm at the Ventura Education Service Center at 255 West Stanley Avenue in Ventura. The day kicks off with a 3,000 Meter Run/Walk, a friendly, low-key race encouraging youth of all ages to participate. Afterwards, check out the more than 50 community, sports and health-related booths! Summerfest is brought to you by the Ventura Education Partnership.

The 2015 C.A.R.L. Pooch Parade Fundraising Dog Walk and Pet Expo is almost here! Join us on July 19th at the San Buenaventura State Beach Park as we raise awareness for all the senior dogs that need love too. Sam’s Senior Dog Rescue Project places these deserving dogs in forever homes where they can live out the rest of their lives being loved and cared for. We can make a doggone difference!
